The Black Powder Shooters of Hawaii is a loose knit group of like minded shooters that love the smell of black powder in the morning. We collect and shoot all forms of firearms including matchlocks, flintlocks, caplocks, black powder cartridge and military firearms from Civil War era to WWI to WWII to Korean War era to the modern era. And everything in between. There is no fee to join but participation is encouraged and donations are welcome. We provide coffee and doughnuts at the Sunday shoots.

We meet every Sunday and Wednesday at the Rifle Range and set up metal gongs at 50 yards and 100 yards. Please bring your own target frame if you prefer to shoot at paper. At the Rifle Range we are allowed to shoot all forms of black powder rifles and pistols at the 50 yard and 100 yard gongs. Smokeless powder rifles are only allowed to shoot at the 100 yard gong. We also have a few areas that you can set up a 25 yard paper target.

We come early to the range to talk story and then we go have lunch at Zippy’s at the Koko Marina. Come join us for a day of good fun.
